Pugilism Rules : The Pre-Broughton Era

 

In this video we look at the world of pugilism, as it existed prior to the Broughton ruleset.

This was pugilism at its most bloody and brutal! We learn what rules (if any existed) and where and how fights were organised.

We will also hear briefly about the champions that existed in this era, introducing us a a more in-depth series that will be released later on, which will focus in detail on every old-school pugilist to have ever held the title of "champion.
